Chambres d'hotes

Le Tournesol is Val & Duncan's vegan/vegetarian B&B in the heart of the Charente countryside.

Although named 'Tournesol' ('sunflower' in English) and a typical image of the surrounding countryside containing sunflowers stretching to the horizon, you won't find any around the property (at least at the moment). The name actually derives from a previous resident whom the locals named 'Monsieur Tournesol' due to his positioning himself in the garden throughout the day to best take in the sun.

The house, a converted barn, is in a small village conveniently positioned for the airports of Limoges & Poitiers, which are served by budget airlines Flybe & Ryanair from various UK & European cities. Major road & rail routes also serve the area. Our location makes us an ideal half way stopover for those travelling from the channel ports to either the south of France or Spain.

So whether you are planning a break in the French countryside, house hunting, or making that stop-over, we offer a convenient & comfortable stay for vegans and non-vegans alike.

Wi-fi and satellite TV with English channels are also provided.

Unfortunately, despite being animal lovers ourselves, we're unable to take pets at the moment as it's a sentiment not shared by our fragile, elderly cat.

Our large en suite family room overlooking the garden sleeps 4. It has a super king sized bed & bunk beds, but we are happy to add an additional single bed by prior arrangement.

Oradour sur Glane
